Cristina Caldeira

Postdoctoral researcher in the field of Intellectual Property at FCSH-NOVA. PhD in Law, specialising in Legal and Political Sciences, from UAL. Master’s degree (MSc) in International Economics from the Lisbon School of Economics & Management, University of Lisbon.

Associate Professor at Universidade Europeia, Lisbon. Lawyer and researcher affiliated with the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P., Portugal, and the Centre for Economic Research (CEF) at the University of Coimbra. She was a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford, St Antony’s College. She served as an assistant to the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, having participated in the drafting of legislation.

Director of the Master’s programme in Law and Information Security at the European University, Lisbon. Editor-in-chief of the academic and scientific journal Privacy and Data Protection Magazine. She has edited books in the fields of intellectual property and data protection. She currently serves as Data Protection Officer for Lisbon City Council. She is the author of several publications and a regular participant in public initiatives in the field of law.
